Senior Business Analyst
The Sr. Business Analyst role is responsible for providing timely, relevant, and accurate financial, strategic, tactical, and operational reporting and analysis for various business units to measure performance, established KPIs, recommend process improvements, and facilitate decision-making. This role is expected to maintain Business units P&L and lead weekly/monthly discussions with leaders on the outcomes of business operations and possible changes needed. The role will be building dashboards/reports and managing a SQL database to maintain the dataset integrated with multiple tools/data sources.
• Designs, creates, and maintains reports, dashboards, databases, and related documentation as assigned.
• Creates complex SQL reporting queries and databases to support advanced reporting needs
• Perform Trend Analysis, Forecasting, and proactively recommends process and reporting improvements.
• Create P&L for allocated business lines
• Lead Analysis review and discussions with leadership team.
• Highlights areas of success and outlines areas of opportunity, sharing those analytics via summary level reporting and guidance for the leadership team
• Manage end-to-end analytics need for assigned business lines
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Previous experience in a data mining, reporting or a consulting role using financial and operational data
• Good understanding of financial reporting along with minimum 2 years of experience in creating P&L
• Possesses a strong technical understanding of reporting approaches and techniques.
• Requires proficiency in SQL- proficiency in database architecture and structures.
• Requires proficiency with Power BI and Tableau (preferred). Must be able to build complex dashboards.
• Proven ability to generate, analyze, and interpret complex data and concepts.
• Demonstrates excellent quantitative and analytic skills and solid critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrates excellent skills and abilities to do active listening, time management, and oral and written communication.
• High level of initiative, self-direction, and accountability for actions required.
• Demonstrates the agility to adapt to a collaborative style team approach.
• Must be able to comfortably and effectively communicate and lead analytics data review with Director, VP, or C-Level resources
• Must be flexible with a can-do attitude and can remain professional under high-pressure situations.
• Ability to retain and protect confidential material.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
