Implementation Specialist (HIM)
The Implementation Specialist will work independently and on a team to successfully implement MEDHOST Departmental and/or Enterprise Software applications. This position will collaborate with team members to ensure projects meet the Customer objectives and provide a World Class Customer experience delivering projects on Scope, On Time, and On Budget with Quality.
• Responsible for successfully implementing the Patient Accounting MEDHOST applications following the standard implementation methodology
• Prepares Customer focused agendas and instruction to ensure successful knowledge transfer to our Customers
• Assesses, analyzes and documents the current and future Customer workflows
• Provides guidance and collects Customer data required for build/setup activities
• Builds and/or configures MEDHOST applications based on customer workflow
• Develops training plans with the Project Manager
• Develops and coordinates testing plans with Project Manager for Enterprise applications
• Provides advice on MEDHOST best practices and training to Customers (onsite, remote, and at MEDHOST offices)
• Coordinates Go Live and Cutover processes in discipline area with the Project Manager
• Works to exceed financial and productivity target
• Maintains knowledge of new version updates and additional functionality
• Utilizes the agreed upon tools to minimize the variability of the install process, while continuing to try to improve standards
• Delivers effective, measurable training to our Customers and internal staff on the applications they represent
• Identify and communicate risks to the project and leadership team to ensure the success of the implementation
• Works with the Support team on issue resolution
• Conducts assessments of system use and process and makes recommendations for improvement
• Understands release changes and develops programs to assist Customers with capitalizing on new functionality
• Responsible for managing the relationship and expectations of the Customer for a mutually beneficial outcome
• Assists Customers in identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes
Administrative Duties:
• Accurately enters and submits time by the required departmental deadlines
• Books travel in adherence to the company travel policy
• Maintains and updates the Implementation Methodology and other department documentation
• Maintains documentation regarding Customer interaction
• Provides Pre and Post-Sales Support to MEDHOST Sales team for MEDHOST products
• Provides training in areas of expertise and support for training documents necessary to assist clients as required
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of the MEDHOST core products
• Attend and participate in team and departmental meetings
• Maintain application & industry knowledge through self-study and by attending training classes
• Responds to email and phone communications in a timely fashion
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must be willing to travel up to 90%
• Ability to think logically for interpreting, analyzing, and discussing end user needs to evaluate appropriate options and identify solutions
• Ability to work and communicate with clients, third party system vendors and other departments in an effective and positive manner

Training and Experience:
• Must have experience with Healthcare Financial Environments
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
• Certifications in Financial areas are desired
• Minimum 3 years Hospital consulting, hospital management/clinical experience, or software implementation experience required
• Healthcare IT software implementation experience preferred, MEDHOST experience desired
• IBM iSeries (AS400) and/or MS Windows experience a plus
• Documentation required of current certifications or licensures.
• Demonstrated experience training Customers and employees.
• Sufficient Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to complete work assigned
